He is Chairman of Trans Hex Group Limited, Board Consultant to Northam Platinum Limited and a director of Mvelaphanda Resources Limited. Bernard also serves on the Executive Committees of of the Dwaalkop and Pandora Platinum Joint Ventures

Position: Interim President & CEO, Director
John is a non-executive director of PMI Gold Corporation, Mediterranean Resources Ltd. and Great Quest Metals Ltd. Most recently, served as the CEO of Nevsun Resources Limited, which successfully brought the Bisha Mine into production in Eritrea. Prior to joining Nevsun in 1997, Dr. Clarke was an Executive Director of Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited of Ghana, where he helped establish Ashanti's gold exploration program throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Clarke holds a Ph.D. in metallurgy from Cambridge University and M.B.A. from the University of Middlesex.

Banro's principal founder, Arnold has been involved in corporate finance activities for over 20 years. He is also President and Managing Director of Sterling Portfolio Securities Inc., a private venture capital firm based in Toronto.

Position: Director
Peter Cowley is a geologist with 42 years international experience in the minerals industry, mainly in Africa. He holds M.Sc and M.B.A. degrees and is a Fellow of I.M.M.M. Peter is President & CEO of Loncor Resources Inc. He was previously President of Banro from June 2004 to March 2008, and also the CEO of the Company until September 2007. Prior to joining Banro, Peter was Managing Director of Ashanti Exploration, where he played a major role in the discovery and development of the Geita mine in Tanzania. Peter is also a director of Amara Mining plc (previously Cluff Gold plc).

Richard is a partner in the Canadian law firm of Norton Rose LLP which acts as counsel to Banro. He specializes in corporate and securities law.

| | | Peter V. Gundy
Position: Director
Peter Gundy was Chairman and Founder of New Material Technologies Inc., a publicly listed company which manufactured and sold high tech materials to global electronics industries. During his tenure with the company, he served in a number of positions including CEO. He left in 2008 and the company was later acquired by Molycorp Inc. for $1.3 billion. Earlier in his career, Peter served as a vice president of Brascan and Dominion Securities and was co-founder and Chairman of Renaissance Securities. He was Executive Vice President, Finance, of Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Ltd., where he was one of the senior executives who founded the company. Currently, Peter is Chairman of Verde Potash PLC where he is also Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is also a Director of Clifton Star Resources Inc. and is a member of that Audit Committee. Peter began his career in Montreal as a lawyer specializing in the practice of mergers and acquisitions. He is a certified Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors and resident in Toronto, where he is co-owner of Veritprop Ltd.

Position: Director
Prior to assuming the role of President/CEO in 2010, Simon was formerly the Executive Chairman of Banro Corporation and has been with the Company since 2004. Prior to this he was a Managing Director of the World Gold Council and principal of Exchange Traded Gold, a Company responsible for developing a series of gold investment products that have revolutionised the dynamics of the gold industry. Previous to this he was a Managing Director with HSBC responsible for Global Mining and also Head of HSBC's South African Securities business. Simon started his career as a Mining Engineer with Anglo American/De Beers, and holds a B.Eng (Hons) degree from Camborne School of Mines, and brings some 22 years of gold industry and investment experience to the Company.
