Position: Chairman
Simon Village was formerly a Managing Director, World Gold Council, and principal of Exchange Traded Gold, a company responsible for developing and managing a series of direct physical gold investment products that have revolutionised the dynamics of the gold industry. Previous to this he was a Managing Director with HSBC responsible for Global Mining based out of London, and also Head of HSBC's South African Securities business. Simon holds a B.Eng (Hons) degree from Camborne School of Mines, and brings some 16 years of gold industry and investment experience to the Company.

Position: President & CEO
Michael Prinsloo was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Banro in September 2007 and President in March 2008. He has 35 years experience in the gold mining industry, having risen through the ranks over 25 years with the Anglo American Gold Division. He later worked for Randgold & Exploration and served as CEO of Durban Roodepoort Deep, Limited. Mike was Executive Vice President and Head of South African Operations of Gold Fields from 2002 to 2006, and was appointed and served as CEO of the Gold Fields Business and Leadership Academy in 2006 to 2007.

Position: Director, Executive VP
Banro's principal founder, Arnold has been involved in corporate finance activities for over 20 years. He is also President and Managing Director of Sterling Portfolio Securities Inc., a private venture capital firm based in Toronto.

| | | Peter Cowley
Position: Director
Peter Cowley is a geologist with 40 years international experience in the minerals industry, mainly in Africa. He holds M.Sc and M.B.A. degrees and is a Fellow of I.M.M.M. Peter is President & CEO of Loncor Resources Inc. He was President of Banro from June 2004 to March 2008, and also the CEO of the Company until September 2007. Prior to joining Banro, Peter was Managing Director of Ashanti Exploration, where he played a major role in the discovery and development of the Geita mine in Tanzania. Peter is also a director of Cluff Gold plc.

Position: Director
John is a non-executive director of Mediterranean Resources Ltd. and Great Quest Metals Ltd. Most recently, he held the positions of Director, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nevsun Resources, an exploration and development company engaged in gold and base metals exploration in Africa. Prior to joining Nevsun in 1997, Dr. Clarke was an Executive Director of Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited of Ghana, where he helped establish Ashanti's gold exploration program throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Clarke holds a Ph.D. in metallurgy from Cambridge University and M.B.A. from the University of Middlesex.

Position: Director
Bernard has been a director of Banro since 1996 and has over 40 years experience in the mining industry, mainly in Africa. He is also a director of Mvelaphanda Resources Limited, Ndowana Exploration (Pty) Limited, Northam Platinum Limited and Trans Hex Group Limited. Bernard also serves on the Executive Committees of the Dwaalkop and Pandora Platinum Joint Ventures.

Position: Director
Michael Beckett is Chairman of Endeavour Financial Corporation and of Thomas Cook Group plc and a director of several public companies, including Northern Platinum Limited and Mvelaphanda Resources Limited. He was previously Chairman of Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited. From 1975 to 1990, Michael was Managing and Executive Director, Consolidated Gold Fields, where he managed the Group's global exploration, development and production and its investment portfolio. Previous to this, he was Manager of Gold Fields Overseas interests in the Americas, Australia and South Africa.

Richard is a partner in the Canadian law firm of Macleod Dixon LLP which acts as counsel to Banro. He specializes in corporate and securities law and is chair of Macleod Dixon's Global Mining Group.
