Banro Corporation

In August 2009, Banro announced the purchase of a gold plant with capacity to process 100,000 oz of gold per year. The plant is being refurbished in western Australia and in May 2010 will be shipped in 90 forty-foot containers and 60 break bulk items to the port of Mombassa, Kenya. Additional containers and construction items are being prepared for shipment from South Africa. The plant will begin arriving in Twangiza in July 2010.
