Banro's Twangiza began pouring gold in October 2011.
At full capacity, the plant will process 1.7 million tonnes of ore per year.
Gold production estimate is approximately 120,000 ounces per year from Twangiza oxide mine.
Commercial production is anticipated from Twangiza in the first quarter of 2012.
With production at approximately 10,000 ounces per month at Twangiza, Banro is able to fund development of the second mine, Namoya, also in the Twangiza-Namoya Gold Belt.
